Yes, we know. This is getting tired, but we have to mention it. There’s another theory as to why Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers isn’t on speaking terms with his family.
It’s a pretty simple one and here it is.
That’s correct. Olivia Munn is the source of the split, according to the latest gossip.
For the uninitiated, let’s do a quick recap.
Jordan Rodgers, Aaron’s younger brother, just won The Bachelorette. During the taping, Jordan noted how Aaron had no relationship with him or the rest of the family. That angle was milked heavily by the producers of the show. When training camp opened, Rodgers refused to discuss any family matters.
But since The Bachelorette finale was earlier this week and Jordan and JoJo Fletcher are making the rounds talking about their engagement, this isn’t dying anytime soon.
Let’s address the elephant in the room. There was a previous rumor that Aaron’s rift with the family stems from him being secretly gay.
This new rumor doesn’t go that far.
It stops at that woman above.
A family insider claims Aaron’s girlfriend of two years, Olivia Munn, is at the center of the family feud. The X-Men: Apocalypse actress, 36, “has a strong personality and every meeting she has had with them has gone badly,” continues the source.
“The family says Aaron stopped talking to them,” notes the insider. “While Aaron says they don’t talk because his family doesn’t like Olivia.” (Says a Munn source: “Aaron makes his own decisions and wouldn’t be swayed by Olivia.”)
It would be no surprise to us if Olivia were at the center of all this.
Aaron’s father made a cryptic remark about how fame can change you during The Bachelorette.
Monty, who lives in L.A. and has several Hollywood connections, has relayed a number of unflattering stories about Munn, such as this one right here.
The evidence is certainly out there if you want to find it. Aaron obviously doesn’t and that’s his right.
But, we say this every time we talk about this nonsense. If Rodgers’ head isn’t right, then his game isn’t right. And that means the Green Bay Packers are not right.
We sure as hell don’t want to sit through another replay of 2015, when defenses were stacking the box and daring the Packers to throw.
