The Green Bay Packers have held linebacker Sam Barrington out of the team’s offseason activities. The move was injury-related as Barrington recovers from a broken foot that cost him all but one game in 2015.
It was probably precautionary more than anything. Barrington looks just fine to us.

When training camp rolls around later this month, Barrington will be looking to reclaim his starting spot at inside linebacker.
He’ll face competition from second-year player Jake Ryan and rookie Blake Martinez.
While the youngsters probably have more upside, we’re certainly not counting Barrington out.
