The Minnesota Vikings were supposed to cut the ribbon on their monstrosity of a new stadium today. Did they?
Probably — don’t really care.
We all had a hearty laugh when we saw that shot above, though.
Yup. Some fine soul went and tossed a rock right through the Minnesota Vikings’ glass stadium.
They claim it could take two months to fix.
That must be some kind of metaphor right?
Broken-ass stadium for a broken-ass team.
And as you can kind of see in the picture, these idiots placed a bed of rocks right in front of these windows. If that isn’t an invitation, we’re not really sure what is.
It gets worse for the Vikings, too.
On the day they formally open their new stadium, this…
Former Vikings & Cards HC Dennis Green has passed away at age 67.
He was both talented & impactful. Rest in Peace. pic.twitter.com/9k4GqW1VZM
Now, we’re not here to mock the passing of Denny Green. Other than having coached the Vikings, we never really had any dislike for Green.
But could there be a worse omen than this?
It would be like if the Green Bay Packers opened a renovated Lambeau Field and on the same day Mike Holmgren died.
The Vikings aren’t winning a game this year and we suspect that stadium just might fall down on top of them. Hopefully, the Packers aren’t in the building when it happens.
As for Denny Green, we’ll always enjoy this one.
“If you want to crown them, then crown their ass! But they are who we thought they were and we let ’em off the hook!”
