Who knew Green Bay Packers defensive end and resident tough guy Mike Daniels was a dork?
He is.
It took us a while to figure out exactly what was going on here, but Daniels references Dragon Ball Super, the Japanese animated show that is a sequel to Dragon Ball Z.

As it turns out, what he’s doing here is actually from the original show.
If anyone would like to share the significance of this, please feel free to enlighten the rest of us.
Here is your enlightenment;
The contraption around the head of Mike Daniels is called a “scouter”. It “scouts” (numerically indicates) the power level/strength of a person/warrior.
That clip/line “It’s over 9.000!!!” is easily the most famous quote of the “Z” series.
This scene takes place after Goku (orange pants) comes back from the afterlife and some awesome other-world training. The giant bald guy is Nappa and the guy who breaks his scouter after reading 9,000 is Vegeta. All three of these guys are “Sayians” (say-ins) and orange pants was sent to Earth as an baby to destroy/enslave the inhabitants. Orange pants has a rough landing, knocks his head and is raised by a kind old man who teaches him right from wrong as well as martial arts and defuses his natural Sayian tendency to destroy.

Vegeta and Nappa have come to Earth to figure out why Goku has failed at his mission and now Goku, arriving just in time, is stronger than anyone could have imagined and the fight for all of humanity is about to set off.
Kakarot is Goku’s Sayian name given to him at birth. Goku was the name given to him by the old man who discovered him on Earth. Gohan was the old man’s name and now is his son’s name. Goku’s son Gohan, is definitely an absolute badass as the series continues.
Questions? Comments? hahaha
Wow.
Just another reason why Mike Daniels is fucking awesome
