Former Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman, who spent last season with the Carolina Panthers, retired on Monday. He did so via a video on Twitter.
The video is funny because Tillman walks around knocking things out peoples’ hands. On the field, Tillman was known for his ability to strip the football and create turnovers.
It's been real ✌🏿️https://t.co/bM9lLkw9wi

The announcement prompted Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to chime in with this message.
Heard you retired @peanuttillman loved competing against you. You're HOF in my book. #respect #forcedFumbles #class pic.twitter.com/8O840NyweA

Is Tillman Hall of Fame material?
He was pretty good, but probably not. Tillman made just two Pro Bowls and was an All-Pro once (2012). While that’s more than most guys do, it’s not really a Hall of Fame resume.
Still, we’re glad this guy isn’t on the Bears anymore and we suspect Rodgers is too.
The term Class is seldom associated within article’s concerning totalpackers.com.
I think Rodgers meant, and said, he was HOF in his book, not necessarily the NFL’s. Regardless, it was a classy acknowledgement.
I despise most things Bear football, but i do acknowledge greatness and respect for players like Tillman, who was not only a great player, but reportedly a great person.
Agreed on Tillman, nothing but respect for Tillman as a person, payer, and unfortunate Bear.
