NFL Network is doing their top 100 again and Green Bay Packers defensive end Mike Daniels was unveiled as the No. 95 player in the league, Wednesday night.
The great thing about these rankings isn’t the rankings at all, though. It’s the video segments that come with them. For example, last year, Randall Cobb’s featured former Steelers cornerback (and national treasure) Ike Taylor talking about Cobb’s pretty eyes.
Daniels, who made this list for the first time, has a pretty cool segment too. We can’t show it to you here because the NFL is an organization ruled by totalitarian pricks and they don’t share their video.
But we watched it and we can tell you Mike Daniels is an expert trash talker.
The best line in the segment comes from Daniels himself, who describes his play as such.
“I like to beat the crap out of somebody. I don’t know why. I was raised that way.”
He was raised that way, folks!
You can go watch the video here if you are so inclined.
95 seems a bit low
The losers who slotted Mike Daniels at #95 better hope Daniels doesn’t find out who they are. Otherwise, he’ll have some people to beat the crap out of.
Yeah, #95 was way too high. You’re right, he should have been #138 – #144 or so. Those voters are such losers.
I watched the segment and Daniels is by no means an “expert” trash talker. He talked a little trash but it was neither creative nor compelling nor delivered with proper tone. In sum, his trash talking Kung Fu is weak.
I like Daniels as a player though. He is your best player on defense by a lot and I don’t think he takes PEDs like Peppers or illegal painkillers like Matthews. Daniels apparently does it the old fashioned way, by earning it, instead of the normal even older fashioned Packer way of cheating.
As Glanville once hilariously and wisely pointed out, “That’s the Packers for you. If you ain’t cheating, you ain’t trying.”
Hey it was his B-Day
At least his “Pad Level” is good, no correction needed eh MM?
