We see you Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.
We don’t often hear you, but we got this particular message loud and clear.
The Green Bay Packers third-year safety retweeted this beauty from the NFL Network on Thursday.
Best FS in the NFL right now?

No comment. Just that post.
And you’re probably like, “Well, he isn’t even pictured there.”
Exactly.
Those who are, are Eric Berry, Earl Thomas, Tyrann Mathieu, Harrison Smith and Reggie Nelson. All of those guys have made Pro Bowls, although Nelson sat around as a free agent until April before the Raiders bothered to sign him.
Clinton-Dix has not made a Pro Bowl.
However, he improved tremendously from his first year to his second. We fully expect him to turn into a Pro Bowl-caliber player in his third season.
Clinton-Dix isn’t a guy who talks a lot. In fact, there was a pretty pointless article floating around this week of which that was the entire point.
But that tweet appears to say plenty.
He feels disrespected.
And there’s nothing like a little disrespect to fuel the fire of motivation.
Yeah, those 5 free safeties are all better than Clinton-Dix. By a lot.
I think he recognizes that. He pointed out, basically, he is not pictured because he is not Top 5. He did not say he should be up there or that he was better than any of them. Nelson is getting older so his performance should come down soon + he is on a new team and adjustment can be hard. Still, he had 8 interceptions last year and helped lead a better Cinci D than what Cinton-Dix did. He can’t possibly think he is better than Nelson and nor can anyone else sane.
Who with any football knowledge would ever say Clinton-Dix was better or even nearly as good as Eric Berry, Tyrann Matthieu, Harrison Smith, or Earl Thomas? Noooooo ooooooonnnnnnne.
None of this is news. Those guys are much better. He knows it. So does anyone with a 1st grade level of football acumen. I’m not saying Clinton-Dix is a bad player or that he should not be aiming high (to one day be as good as members of that group). That is good. It is just I don’t think he is saying he should be among them now. I don’t think he thinks that and I know no one should think that.
