We have to wonder if Sam Barrington is as tired of hearing how the Green Bay Packers’ biggest offseason need is at inside linebacker as we are.
We’ll bet he’s probably more tired of it.
Barrington became a starter at inside linebacker in 2014 for the Packers. He lasted only one game in 2015 at that spot, after his season was ended prematurely by an ankle injury.
That injury and Barrington’s ability to come back from it is part of the reason so many people are insisting the Packers need an inside linebacker.
Another part is a lot of people just don’t think Barrington and Jake Ryan are very good.
We’re not sure how the ankle is feeling, but Barrington clearly isn’t sitting around nursing it.
It appears he’s more motivated now than he’s ever been. Detractors will do that.

I’m no expert, but that appears to be more than 400 pounds there.
