It’s true.
The Packers will have a pretty nice outside linebacker tandem entering 2016 with Clay Matthews and Julius Peppers.
Only three problems with that.
Peppers is entering the final year of his contract and 2016 will likely be his final season. Plus, he’s no longer an every-down player, so the Packers need rotational bodies.
Currently, the only two bodies they have are Jayrone Elliott and Andy Mulumba. It’s entirely possible that those two guys will develop into decent players, but we don’t know that.
Both Mike Neal and Nick Perry are free agents. We’d like to see the Packers re-sign Perry because he’s a good situational player, but he’s not Peppers’ replacement.
That guy needs to be identified and he needs to be identified now.

I’ll tell you what the Slackers REALLY need. They need to get rid of pretty boy Aaron Rodgers. He has already started to turn into Mr. Hollywood with his B rated girlfriend Olivia Munn. They also need to get rid of that blob of lard on the sideline, aka Mike McCarthy. Only he can suck at utilizing Pro-Bowl caliber players at the rate that he does.
You also need to get somebody like Megatron. Jordy is alright, but outside of him your WR’s are TRASH. Also, Eddie Lacy is just fat. Plain and simple, the man tweeted out a few days ago a recipe for tacos. Looks like he makes regular nightly runs to 7/11 (if they have those in the cow pasture that is GB) for some hot dogs and Big Gulps.
While we are at it you should probably take the Slackers out of the abyss that is Wisconsin. Do you even know what a World Series is? How about a Stanley Cup? What about an NBA Championship? The sports in Wisonsin are garbage. Not to mention all of the fans look like beached seals.

People forgets so easily that the packers o line was great in 2014. That was with Bakhtiari, Lang, Sutton, Linsely and Bulaga. Just wait until 2016 comes and you guys will jump right back on the bandwagon. And they need a RB ? Wtf, did you guys forget what lacy did in 2013 and 2014 ? They need a MLB and a TE, and that’s about it ….the offense just didn’t play up to their potential in 2015.
John, the Pack do need O lineman, and I would suggest at least two. The offensive line needs two quality backups that can play tackle. The team cannot depend on Walker or Barclay to play the tackle positions. Maybe those two guys are on the practice squad in Roth and V, only the coaches know. Even if those two are capable this team could lose four O lineman to free agency after this year. Lang, Sitton, Tretter and Bahk.
The team needs better quality backups at a minimum for 2016 and to prepare those backups for potential starting positions in the O line after this season.

We need a DT that is better than Raji and an ILB that kicks ass in Free Agency. A free agent TE would be nice but I’d rather draft Henry or make a trade for good one.
They need to fix the middle of their field : NT, ILB and TE
Draft NT & ILB in rounds 1 & 2 and fix TE in free agency with a guy that the new TE coach wants to coach.

Cheese, you just say football is the only sport that matters because all other sports in Wisconsin are terrible. Wisconsin is a one trick pony. If the Packers don’t win a SB, all sports fans in your cow pasture state have to wait for NEXT football season because your baseball and basketball teams blow and you don’t even have a hockey team.

If the Red wings don’t win the Stanley Cup they are out of luck as well since all three of the remaining teams in Detroit have only won a single title in the past 25 years combined. Right, because if the Red Wings hadn’t won four Stanley Cups since 1994 and hadn’t played in an additional two more Stanley Cups then Detroit would be nothing. Do you hear yourself? The Red Wing’s have had WAY more success than the Packers have since 1994.
How have the Brewers been? They have been to one World series since they became a team in 1969. They have won only two division championships in their history. TWO! Still searching for a World Series, I see. The Detroit Tigers have played in two World Series since 2000 and have won four in their history. Been to 11 in total. Not to mention four division titles in a row from 2011-2014.
Well, the Bucks must be good, right? Wrong. They have played in two NBA championships since they were created in 1968. They only won one championship with arguably a top five player ever, Oscar Robertson. Only one division title since 2000 as well. Nice. The Pistons have won 3 championships, including one in 2004. Went to another NBA championship the next year in 2005. How about 6 division titles since 2000.
Did I also forget mention that Wisconsin doesn’t even have a professional hockey team? What a joke. When it comes to more than just one sport, Michigan beats Wisconsin any day of the week. We don’t just live off of one team.
Wow, the Tigers have lost two world series in the past 16 years and haven’t won one in over 30. Mad props bro. Way to start bragging about how many division titles your baseball and basketball teams have won on a football site. How many division titles do the Lions have?? I noticed you haven’t mentioned them at all. How many playoff games have they won in the past 50 years? By far the best inside linebacker in college could be available to the Pack at 27. The problem is he tore his knee ligaments in a bowl game. Even though many say Jaylon Smith may be taken as early as 11 it is hard to believe a non playoff team would take the risk. Smith was projected to be a top 5 pick prior to the injury. If the top 3 ilbs are gone, along with the top TE, D and O linemen does TT take a chance on Smith if available?
I think our biggest needs are DE, MLB, and Tackle in that Order. We have never been a team that is big on TE’s i’m not sure why the sudden we are? Even when Finley was here did he ever have a 1000 yard season? A Rodgers has never been a TE first quarterback even in college and when Nelson comes back and our WR’s get healthy the air attack will be just fine… I would put RB over TE at this point because of last year’s performance.
