Aaron Rodgers Returns, Gets Fired Up About HOF Game

Aaron Rodgers face

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made his grand return to Twitter on Tuesday and decided to take some fan questions.

Rodgers, who refrains from using social media during the season, chose to answer some pretty odd questions. He also chose to answer one about what he thinks of the Packers playing in the Hall of Fame game, which was announced earlier on Tuesday.

Is Rodgers really stoked?

No, he isn’t.

He told everyone exactly how he felt about playing a fifth preseason game in September.

“We hope we don’t get it,” Rodgers said. “But we know it’s going to be tough because No. 4 is going to be going in.”

The reference, of course, was to Brett Favre. Favre is ultimately why the Packers will be playing in the Hall of Fame game.

The NFL chooses the participants in the game based upon the members of the Hall of Fame class. With Favre and two former Indianapolis Colts going into the Hall this year, there will be plenty of fans of both teams in Canton for the ceremony.

That made the match-up a no-brainer for the league.

Some of those fans will surely stick around until Sunday evening to watch some of their team’s third- and fourth-stringers in game action.

I bet they can’t wait to throw Jordy out on that field.

    Damnit

No starters will play in this game. The Packers can make this a fun and non injury weekend if they choose too.

Exactly…Plus, since the new CBA cuts down the amount of practice in pads in camp. This gives the coaches more time and film on the guys who are on the fence. the starters will hardly play much, if at all. This game is a good thing.

Like really, Can Rodgers or any player just refuse to play? Be better than obviously throwing the “game” but yea, could they?

Refusing to play preseason is up to the coach. If I remember right, Ben Roethlisberger didn’t take a single snap this past season during the HOF game and let Landry Jones have at it

Boo fuckin hoo. Don’t play your starters and get your back ups some playing time. Half the team wont even be on the roster come the regular season. There wouldn’t be any bitching about this if Jordy injured his knee on the first play of the season opener. Rodgers should be excited that he gets more time to practice throwing to Janis and Aberderis just in case Cobb and Adams decide to shit the bed again this year.

I like people who have never been to this site before and want to preach sarcastically about proper language.

At least will have another game to see our depth, that’s about it though.
