God’s Gifts’ Dream Season Comes to Premature End

Monty McMahon by Monty McMahon

Thursday was the end of the line for superstar tight end God’s Gifts.

The Green Bay Packers placed Gifts on injured reserve, apparently against his will.

Wanted to be the first to thank all my loyal fans who have supported me this past year.. You all have been a blessings to my life.. My season has come to an end not by choice but I will continue to trust Gods plan for my life #Fly81

Gifts missed most of the season with a knee injury, but had been active for the past three games. He was listed as a limited participant on both of the Packers’ practices this week, which suggests his knee was once again bothering him.

The Packers likely decided they needed a roster spot for another position (receiver) and Gifts was the logical choice to use to create one.

And thus ends the dream season for Gifts.

He really put together a season like no one else in NFL history has.

Four receptions, 31 yards, one arrest for unlawful discharge of a weapon and one police photo grabbing your crotch.

And that’s why God’s Gifts truly is God’s gift to all of us.

I’d make a better GM than Ted. I know how to pick em

So release a draft board wise ass. Let’s see how good you are because all you do is talk about how good you claim to be.

V, you’ve got some competition. Several others around here also know for a fact that they are better GMs than Ted Thompson. You guys will have to duke it out to see who gets the job, I guess.

Would not be surprised to see the Pack promote WR Jamel Johnson from Alabama State. The roster is already packed with 4 tight ends (why GB was carrying 4 tight ends — 3 now — is an absolute mystery) so adding another WR makes sense.

Johnson seems to be a logical choice. He joined the Pack back on Dec 8th as a FA sign. He’s originally from Alabama State after transferring from Troy. He’s 6’3″ and has run as low as a 4.4/40. Big physical receiver with lots of athleticism. Highly doubt he ends up being “a guy” — but not always bad to see a 6″3′ wideout who can run be promoted — if he can catch he’ll be better than Davante.

Not sure who would be the best GM when Ted retires. I would be sure that if Quarless signs with the Giants this offseason his new GM should advise him stunts as he pulled in Miami will put him in prison for years if pulled in NY. Just ask Plaxico.

Monty hates Packers TE’s. All he ever does is bag on ’em, but he will take a knee for Gronkowski.

Could it be that Gronk actually has talent?

For the love of god please draft a real TE this year.

OJ Howard of Alabama would look good in green and gold- 6’5″ with 4.6 speed. We haven’t had a playmaking TE since Finley was healthy. All current roster TEs are pedestrian.

This guy is a perfect example of draft and develop into a douche bag
