Undefeated next year, folks!
The Green Bay Packers will have the easiest schedule on paper of any team in the NFL in 2016. That, of course, is based upon the combined winning percentage of the team’s they’re facing.
The Packers’ opponents have a .457 winning percentage. That’s .004 percentage points lower than both the Chicago Bears’ and New York Giants’ 2016 opponents.
And we’d be real excited about that if teams weren’t allowed to make offseason changes, but most of the teams on the Packers’ slate will look a lot different in 2016 than they did in 2015. That’s the reality of being shitty. You make changes.
Two of the teams — the Cowboys (12 games) and the Colts (9 games) — played much of 2015 without their quarterbacks, as well. They’ll likely be better with a healthy Tony Romo and Andrew Luck alone.
The Packers’ full schedule, with dates and times, will be released in April.
This type of analysis is always misleading, unless you rank this years Carolina juggernaut a 7-8-1 dumpster division champion like they were the prior year, for example
Still need to get rid of Thompson and capers
The Packers are going undefeated then losing at home in the division game, hip hip hooray!
Even Big Mike can lead this team to the promised land with this simple schedule…but then reality takes hold and i know some of these teams will be better than it looks, such as the Bears, Lions, Vikes….
Godamnit Skinny you’re spoiling it for everybody!
Great, just great. Now, no matter what the Packers do next season, the brain-dead troglodytes will chime in with what they perceive to be their trump card, universal indictment, ” they had the easiest schedule in the league!”
To wit. Win, and the refrain will be, ‘they still suck, they had the easiest schedule in the league’. Lose, and the refrain will be, ‘they still suck, they had the easiest schedule in the league’.
