Your typical Packer fan might be as constant as a Sheboygan drunk late Saturday night, but the bettors have been amazingly stubborn about taking the Packers down off of whatever pedestal they’ve put them on.
Remember that after being favored in Denver and getting smashed, the Packers were still favored to beat the undefeated Carolina Panthers on the road. Even while in a four out of five game tailspin, the Packers have been favored to win every game except for being small road dogs at Minnesota. Even after complete opposite performances on Thanksgiving, the Packers were still favored to beat the Lions.
That faith in the Packers is also reflected in their Super Bowl odds. No, they aren’t the favorites to go to or win the Super Bowl like they were in the preseason, but they are still within the top five faves in most sportsbooks with their odds between 10-1 and 12-1 to win it all.
Unsurprisingly, the top favorites to win it all now are the New England Patriots, Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals. The Denver Broncos are also ahead of the Packers in most places, with the Cincinnati Bengals being either tied with or immediately above or below the Packers on the betting totem pole.
The Minnesota Vikings’ complete failure against the Seattle Seahawks today will likely boost the Packers’ odds of winning the division once again. If you still had the heart for betting on the Packers, that is probably the way to go.
Haha, well GB is always a popular draw in Vegas, that’s why these point spreads are always 3 points off. NFC is turning into a wild card weekend shitshow, except for Seattle. God help the Packers if they draw that matchup in Lambeau, this offseason will be more miserable than last.
Could you imagine their odds if Colt Lyerla were on the roster? Instant favorites.
I heard Lyerla’s making his comeback with the Arizona Rattlers arena football team, now. Next year, he’ll be an NFL pro-bowler without any doubt. Where’s chaka?
Losing to Seattle in the playoffs again this year might be the worst scenario I can imagine.
Hopefully it will be vikings in Lambeau instead.
Exactly right. Let MN win the division and draw division winner Washington in the playoffs is a better scenario. Either way not a Superbowl team. Seattle looks more and more like the best team in the NFC right now. AZ has injuries too.
they will beat the patriots in the supper bowl!
Seachickens are rolling and hot at the right time of year…ugh..not good for the Pack..lets hope they don’t lay another egg at home this Sunday evening…
I went to my Cayman island account and they are still 5.5-1, get your numbers right.
Colorado is high on the Packers as well. Rocky mountain high.
