Every year each NFL team nominates one of their own for the prestigious Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Last year, Aaron Rodgers was a finalist for the award that went to Carolina’s Thomas Davis.
This year Sam Barrington is the Packers’ nominee. Apparently, the injury that sent Barrington to the IR has not stopped him from working for his foundation- Barrington’s Dream Builders. His foundation is dedicated to raising money for Green Bay Schools, building winter facilities for sports, and offering a bus service that would allow students to attend classes not offered by their schools.
Barrington is being recognized for his foundation, his work with other charitable organizations and for generally being a great guy. Props to Sam.
If you want to give Sam a chance to win the award and $20,000 for his charity, then go to twitter and use the hashtag #BarringtonWPMOYChallenge.
I have to sign up for Twitter and use a fucking hashtag to vote for tho? Seriously?
Sorry, Sam.
