It was a surprise to see defensive end Mike Daniels, the motor that makes the Green Bay Packers defense go, listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.
Not to worry, it appears.
Daniels was upgraded to probable on Saturday, along with two other players who were listed as questionable — receiver Davante Adams and guard T.J. Lang.
Daniels has been dealing with a hamstring injury that popped up during or after the Dallas game. Adams has a similar foot injury and Lang has shoulder and ankle injuries and missed the game two weeks ago versus Detroit.
None of them are in jeopardy of missing Sunday’s contest with Oakland.
Center Corey Linsley, who has missed two games with an ankle injury, is. He remains questionable.
J.C. Tretter would play if Linsley cannot. He has filled in admirably during the time Linsley has missed.
Cornerback Sam Shields (concussion) and receiver Ty Montgomery (ankle) were ruled out earlier this week.
It’s frustrating. Is it me or do only Packers players miss games with lingering concussion symptoms? I’ve seen other teams players knocked unconscious, removed from the game, and then play the next weekend.
Is this a league wide exact protocol or does each team diagnose as they see fit with the help of league guidelines?
Protocol is the same for everyone. People react differently to them, there are various ranges of severity, likely longer recovery the more concussions you e had previously, etc.

I never knew a sprained ankle could be a 10 week injury with the types of recovery methods the NFL money can buy. Get some HGH, cream and clear from Barry Bonds or something. Or break it that would make it heal faster. Cobb came back from a broken leg in less time.
I would rather have him miss this Game than not remember where he parked his car like McMahon
Adams being probable is terrible news
Agreed . . .
Whats going on with Ty Montgomery don’t hear much about him or how his injury is coming along. Saw some flashes from him reminding me a lot of Cobb his first 2 years. From all reports he is a smart player, pretty tough to get thru Stanford as a dummy, quick in and out of his moves, could be a welcome addition to a group of receivers that are having trouble getting open.
Hope we all remember to cut Adams some slack still a raw youngster, we had another young receiver by the name of Jordy Nelson that had a bunch of drops, hell in the 1st half of his super bowl…seems to me he turned out ok and we’re happy to have him
