You thought this was the week receiver Ty Montgomery would be back?
Guess again, Chachie!
Montgomery hasn’t played since week 6 because of a high ankle sprain.
We thought he’d return last week after practicing for most of the week.
Nope.
Montgomery started off this week right, as a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. Then came Thursday, when he dropped out of practice before they even kicked the media out.
Setback? New injury? Smoke screen?
Who knows.
We’re just not going to plan on counting on Montgomery to play anytime soon.
Man up! This isn’t college anymore rook!
Big B, I have a hard time agreeing with your demand that Montgommery “man up,” without knowing anything about his actual injury. I had a bad ankle sprain, and it took a good year before it didn’t seriously affect my performance in beer league softball and rec soccer. It’s been a couple years, and it’s still not right. Look at what happened to Rickie Weeks’ career for the Brewers after he sprained his ankle a few years ago–he was never the same again. If Montgommery’s still having pain and setbacks, he just won’t be able to do what is required to be productive. There’s no use putting him on the field if he can’t do his job, and there’s nothing that manning up can do to change that.
It’s somewhat interesting that the Packers are 0-3 without him. Maybe this guy is the team MVP
well he did manage to get open on a couple of plays this year. Something the other bunch of hacks can’t claim
It is time to start throwing the fucking ball to Janis! He has good YAC (when Rodgers throws to him). WTF is going on with Rodgers and MM versus Janis? seems rather odd. The guy hustles. Why not soften up the Defense with some long passes to him? Hell, it can’t hurt! They are shitting the bed without him in the lineup anyways! And the few he has caught, he actually has produced well . . .
