The sideline argument involving safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, linebacker Julius Peppers and defensive tackle B.J. Raji wasn’t pretty, but coach Mike McCarthy seems less than concerned about it.
“I didn’t talk about that today,” McCarthy said, Monday evening. “I don’t have any concerns. Frnakly, I like it, it shows our players care. I know what was said afterward.”
The incident occurred late in the Packers’ loss to Carolina, in a game you could easily term a defensive meltdown.
The defense did some things effectively, but got burned by big plays on multiple occasions. On more than one of those, Clinton-Dix was the primary culprit.
After the game, we were wondering what business he had getting in anyone’s face. We imagine Julie was probably asking himself the same question. That ultimately prompted Raji to come over and shove Clinton-Dix.
After the game, Clinton-Dix apologized.
That appears to be enough for everyone involved.
