The Green Bay Packers listed four players as questionable on their final injury report before facing the Chicago Bears on Thursday. Those players are center Corey Linsley, cornerback Damarious Randall, defensive lineman Mike Pennel and defensive back Micah Hyde.
If there are any surprises there, it’s Randall and Pennel.
Randall has been limited in practice with a hamstring injury. He popped up on last Saturday’s injury report with the same issue, but ended up playing on Sunday, nonetheless.
Pennel has a quad injury, but he hasn’t missed a game yet this season.
We don’t expect Linsley or Hyde to play. The Packers starting center has an ankle injury, which he suffered against Minnesota. Hyde has a hip injury, which he’s been dealing with for a while. Each time he gets hit, Hyde says his hip goes numb.
It’s probably time for him to take a rest.
Linsley was replaced by J.C. Tretter last week and we didn’t notice any drop-off in play. In fact, the center play may have even gotten better, so we’re not too concerned about that.
As expected, both Ty Montgomery and Jared Abbrederis have been ruled out.
can we give back Montgomery for a future draft pick, nice kid but is he ever going to play or will he have more injuries than Nick Perry…not his fault i know…
