Perhaps this is why Bryan Bulaga has been getting pushed around lately.
The knee he injured earlier this season is bothering him again.
Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy revealed that his right tackle missed Saturday’s practice, on Thursday. We also knew he missed Wednesday’s practice and now we know why.
“He’s just coming back a little slow from the game. Getting some work on the knee. We’ll see what he can do today,” McCarthy said.
He then suggested the injury bothered Bulaga during the Carolina game, which might partially explain that performance.
We gave Bulaga a D grade for the game.
Bulaga suffered a sprained MCL prior to week 2. He returned to action after missing just three games.
Is it me or does this training staff always seem to bring guys back too soon? I don’t watch other teams in NEARLY the same fashion as I do the Packers, obviously. So I don’t see anything from other teams, but it just seems to me Mckenzie and his staff don’t manage injuries well…Both my brothers are medical professionals, and they seem to feel the same way. If the guy is hurt, let him heal up…
If your hurt to the point your costing your team, then stay on the damn bench!
I thought it became pretty clear this week that Bulaga came back too soon. Not just last week, he has basically stunk up the joint ever since coming back. Unfortunately, the Packers remain in dire straits at the tackle position and therefore don’t have much choice. Bulaga at 75% is probably about equal to Barclay at 100%.
If that is true, then why do they put in a 75 % Bulaga instead of a healthy Barclay? They must be doing better math than you? Like maybe they think a healthy Barclay = a dead Bulaga?
Or maybe AR preference is the deciding vote?
If he was injured, and that was why he played so god awful, then take him out of the game. Don’t hand us this, “he was injured” shit after he plays a full game.
AT does not determine whether people on the injury report play. That is just stupid
AR*
we know who you meant, Kato.
now to my “stupid” post: like most good QB, AR has a [slight?] preference for certain receivers, and linemen. the coaches may be aware of such preferences, and that is why they MAY have kept a “banged up” Bulaga in the game. hope that makes the point of my post more clear to you?
