Green Bay Packers running back James Starks sat out Monday’s practice and we didn’t know why.
Now we know he’s injured, but that’s about it.
“He has an injury. I’m hopeful he can do more today,” coach Mike McCarthy said this morning.
“You have a bye week and they’re excited about things on Monday. Sometimes the injuries don’t show up for a couple of days. He was here all week rehabbing.”
So, clearly, no word on what is injured or the severity of that injury. However, it’s probably not minor if Starks rehabbed throughout the bye week and still isn’t able to practice.
Starks is coming off his best game of the season. He rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries against San Diego. He also had a receiving touchdown, while having almost twice as many touches as Eddie Lacy, the presumed starter.
Does he go this week? We’ll know more as the week goes on.
