Damarious Randall Has an Ankle Injury

Damarious Randall

Why did cornerback Damarious Randall miss practice on Thursday?

Because he injured his ankle.

“Damarious Randall rolled his ankle, so he’s being treated. He’ll hopefully practice tomorrow,” Green Bay Packers coach Mike McCarthy said, Friday morning.

Randall was a surprise DNP on Thursday after having participated in the Packers’ first two practices of the week. Green Bay will go again on Friday before facing the Denver Broncos on Sunday night.

Based upon the terminology used here — rolled ankle — we would bet Randall will available Sunday night.

Injury-wise, the Packers have been relatively healthy this week, but you’d expect that coming out of the bye. The only player who didn’t practice on Thursday other than Randall was receiver Ty Montgomery. He has a sprained ankle and now looks doubtful for Denver.
