The shoulder injury Green Bay Packers receiver Randall Cobb suffered last Saturday was termed minor after an MRI on Sunday. We put his timetable for recovery at one to two weeks. Fox Sports is now reporting that Cobb will be good to go for week 1.
An NFL source told FOX Sports on Tuesday that all “indicators” point to Cobb being able to play after he suffered an A/C sprain during Saturday night’s preseason game against Philadelphia.
“He’s going to be fine,” the source said. “He feels good about it.”
Bam!
We obviously will want to hear the same thing from the Packers, but this news is certainly welcome.
Coach Mike McCarthy didn’t provide any injury updates during his morning press conference. However, we do know Cobb isn’t expected to play in the Packers’ preseason finale on Thursday.
