The Green Bay Packers had a timely return on Wednesday, with safety Morgan Burnett returning to practice.

Burnett missed the Packers’ week 1 game against the Chicago Bears with a calf injury.
In that game, the Packers gave up 189 rushing yards. That number was outdone by only one other team in week 1 — the Minnesota Vikings, who gave up 230 to San Francisco.
Micah Hyde started in Burnett’s place last week. Hyde is solid in pass defense, but inferior to Burnett in run defense.
If the Packers are going to shore up that atrocious run defense, they’ll need Burnett to be a difference maker now that Sam Barrington has been placed on injured reserve.

Perennial clowns in the middle since Jolly and Pickett got their walking papers. Not to say we were any better at linebacker back then either, but at least the D Line stopped quite a few of them before Hawk had to try and catch them. This year in-year out cluster fuck in the middle is becoming annoying as hell. It is OBVIOUS that TT and crew are CLUELESS with D Linemen and linebackers (except Matthews . . .). WTF? Hire a fucking scout that understands and sees talent in those two areas NOW! The Packers have been shitting the bed with those two positions for nearly ten fucking years . . . Good God, even a clock is right two times a day! How can these buffoons continue to miss on sure things and pick trolls every year? while half the time the pundits are saying “Well that was a reach” . . . K. Thornton? Bradford? Worthy? A 5%-10% rate of return in starting caliber would be a welcome number compared to whiffing every fucking time.
