Letroy Guion is not having a great offseason.
You surely know well of Guion’s legal trouble earlier this year. While that matter has been settled, it cost Guion dearly in terms of financial security. The Green Bay Packers had been negotiating a long-term deal with Guion prior to the incident and gave him a minuscule one-year deal after it.
Police are also still in possession of Guion’s truck and nearly $200,000 of his money, both of which were confiscated at the time of his arrest.
Now, someone else wants to dip into Letroy’s pocket.
Guion is the target of a civil suit that seeks damages for pain and suffering from a 2013 altercation. The suit was filed by Martius Holland, who is the boyfriend of Guion’s baby mama, Krystal Troutman.
“We’re aware of the suit and is suspect nature,” Guion’s agent, Seth Katz told ESPN. “We’re aware that Mr. Holland and Ms. Troutman are attempting to enrich themselves. Troy’s attorneys are aggressively defending it. There’s no basis for it.”
So, now there’s that.
Guion should also be getting notified any day now that he’s being suspended by the NFL. We expect the league to hand down at least a one-game suspension for the arrest.
When will the nightmare be over, huh Letroy?
