June in Packerland means it’s time for the annual softball game for charity. The popular event that benefits Youth Life is taking place this Sunday at Fox Cities Stadium.
After the hosting baton was handed to Jordy Nelson last offseason, the event is going stronger than ever with 44 Packers expected to show their faces at the diamond. That cast of characters includes most the biggest stars on the team such as Aaron Rodgers, Clay Matthews, Jordy, Sam Shields, Mike Daniels and more.
As usual, the players split up into offense and defense and then play a version of softball similar to an NBA All Star Game. Considering one serious injury could shut this thing down for all time, it’s probably a good idea that they do.
So, if you are still looking for something to do this weekend, then you could do worse than spending some money on a good cause while watching some big name Packers play softball.
