I’m just tickled pink today.
I had been thinking long and hard about this one. Can the Minnesota Vikings finally win the Super Bowl? I mean, nothing would please me more. No one deserves a Super Bowl victory more than the intelligent, thoughtful, classy and beautiful bunch who call themselves Minnesota Vikings fans.
Well, good news, everyone!
Vikings owner Groucho Marx Zygi Wilf has declared that yes, indeed, the Minnesota Vikings can win the Super Bowl. And they can win it this very season!
“Absolutely,’’ Wilf said. “I mean, we can win the Super Bowl, but I stopped my predictions I think my third season (of ownership).’’
This new level of enthusiasm and optimism for Vikings football stems from a few things.
First, the Vikings went 7-9 last season, which is pretty much like winning the Super Bowl if you’re from Minnesota.
Second, they really like their coach over there in the Cities. Like, not only did he win seven games already, but he is also totally not Brad Childress or a man named Leslie.
Ready for it?
Chilly!
Third, conquering hero Adrian Peterson has returned to the team after a year spent conquering his children and then thinking about how he shouldn’t conquer his children. And who cares about any of that? This guy can play football!
Open arms in Minnesota!
So, clearly, this is a recipe for success!
Your long wait is surely almost over, you glorious Vikings fans. This is your year!
