We’ve mentioned this before. Former Michigan Wolverine Jake Ryan is the guy most likely to start as a rookie for the Green Bay Packers.
Wolverines beat writer Nick Baumgardner also says Ryan could come in and start at inside linebacker for the Packers this year. And while our opinion is based solely on the Packers’ defensive needs, his is based on watching Ryan play at UM.
Here’s a little bit more insight on the guy the Packers drafted in the fourth round.
I am currently working with a former Michigan Football staff member (left after last season) and he also said he’s gonna be the man for us. Guess he’s a super sharp kid, 2 time captain, just gets it. Looks like a great pick for the money to me.
Time will tell, but hopefully he can contribute right away and bring some consistency to the position. But i’ll believe it when I see it. It is funny sometimes how a 4th rounder can come in and be a stud and first rounders turn to junk. But to digress a little, he should have kept the hair, lose the hair lose the power, see AJ hawk
If he’s really that good, he would for sure help in a vital area for the Pack.
I am looking forward to watching the ILB competition at training camp.
I do not think he will start unless Mathews or Barrington or Peppers or Perry get heart before the first game.
If any of the above players mentioned by tc get “heart” before the first game of the season, lookout baby. The Pack is Back!
