The Minnesota Vikings announced that construction on their new stadium is halfway done, this week.
And that’s great.
Soon, they will be able to start a new tradition by repeatedly losing to the Green Bay Packers in a new stadium. And that beats losing to the Packers in the Metrodome or Metropolitan Stadium before that.
This new stadium is, of course, the Hormel Chili Dome.
The Vikings have pulled out all the stops for this thing, bringing in the best Minnesota has to offer to build it. Minnesota’s best is kind of like being the state spelling bee champion of Kentucky, but still.
They pulled out some stops here.
Behold!
That last one there is my favorite. What you’re seeing there is the hole the Vikings will be falling down year after year.
It leads directly to the NFC North basement.
