He moves like molasses on the football field and he moves like molasses in contract negotiations. His name is B.J. Raji.
Because let’s be honest. Raji should just take whatever offer the Green Bay Packers are willing to throw his way at this point.
Five dollars and a half-eaten burger from Kroll’s?
That hasn’t happened, of course.
Instead, Team Raji has been trying to pretend there is a market for their client, despite the fact that he’s coming off a season that very closely resembles a pile of dog shit, followed by one lost entirely to injury.
And so negotiations drag on.
But this is getting done at some point, you see.
Packer Report says the deal is still being worked on. Exactly zero other teams have been tied to Raji. The market for underachieving defensive tackles was set early in free agency. So it’s really just a matter of when.
How about let’s get it done and move on?
Man I should have taken that $8M, Man I should have taken that $8M…repeat.
lol…No shit. How smart does Raji and his agent look now after turning down 8 mill/year?
Maybe Raji’s agent thinks he has “leverage” because last year Raji had a “good camp”.
BTW, i think that pic was from 2010. He looked “skinny” then.
I actually think that management feels good about Pennel and Boyd compared to Raji. Pennel is bigger and younger. For DT in 3/4, it’s pretty much a matter of size and strength. Raji is big but not the biggest and isn’t that strong. He’s lucky he’s got a chance with GB. He really has to prove himself by staying healthy for one year ad really produce.
No bonus, veteran’s minimum contract by the first OTA.
Bet on it.
I’m a big Josh Boyd guy. I feel with more reps he will only get better. He has great lateral quickness and is stout enough to hold up against double teams. Pennel shows promise too. Let’s lock up Raji for about 2.4 a year and call it a day.
Packers still blow jobing raji! haha….release him he is done!
