This is our concern, Dude.
Green Bay Packers receiver Jordy Nelson had hip surgery following the Pro Bowl.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy revealed as much at the NFL meetings on Wednesday.
Not to worry though. The company line is it’s nothing serious.
“It’s nothing serious,” McCarthy said. “It was done after the Pro Bowl. Something that was kind of hindering him after the Pro Bowl and something he felt he needed to get cleaned up.”
The timetable for Nelson’s recovery is six-to-eight weeks. So if he had the surgery right after the Pro Bowl, then he should pretty much be recovered now.
In other words, he won’t be missing anything important and will still have plenty of time to workout.
I don’t like hear about any of the key (blue) players having medical procedures. At least it wasn’t serious – supposedly…
I thought it was knee surgery. Is it hip or knee?
and i thought it was sloughing-off after a 40 million contract under his belt. let me guess: the pack mgmt. found out about the looming surgery issue AFTER he got the big contract?
Wait, what!? Brett Favre coming back to town….
Fritz, you mean the contract he got before the beginning of last season? Yeah, I don’t think Jody knew about the issue considering he just got the surgery so I’do be a little forgiving of Packers management for not being prescient.
So did Jordy hurt his hip at the pro bowl? If he hurt the hip before the pro bowl, why go? The good thing is Jordy is responsible enough to get the work done before camps unlike some players who wait until just before the camps and miss the majority of practices.
