Will the Chicago Bears keep Green Bay Packers great Jay Cutler as their starting quarterback?
That is the question of the offseason in Chicago.
Thus far, the new regime — led by Denver Broncos castoff John Fox — is not committing to Cutty! That doesn’t mean they won’t be committing to him at a later date, but our man Cutty! has not received a ringing endorsement as of yet.
“I don’t think there’s any question that there’s ability and talent there [with Cutler], but there’s a lot more that goes into it,” Fox said. “We’re evaluating that as we speak.”
Okay, but really. What other options do the Bears have?
Picking seventh, they’re not going to be able to draft Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston. Are they going to re-sign Jimmy Clausen? Uh… go right ahead.
The wild card is probably Josh McCown, who was released by Tampa last week. McCown played for the Bears from 2011-13 and played pretty well in relief of Cutler.
He met with the Bears Wednesday morning.
Considering he’s played better against the Packers than Cutty! ever has, he’s probably an upgrade for Chicago.
Then again, the guy is a 35-year-old career backup.
Not exactly an enviable position to be in.
Might as well roll the dice with Cutty!
I hope they keep cultler for a long time
Bears still suck. Go Pack Go!!!
Did you watch the Tampa game? No matter what the Bears do, the’re effed.
Well, then let me be the first to heartily endorse Jay Cutler as the Bears QB now and for the future. Cutty Forever!!
Can you say Matt Flynn as a Bear
