Two Packers Make First-Team All Pro

Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers have five Pro Bowlers and now they have four All Pros. Two Packers — quarterback Aaron Rodgers and fullback John Kuhn — made the first team. Two — guard Josh Sitton and receiver Jordy Nelson — made the second team.

Rodgers, who will likely win his second MVP, isn’t a surprise. He was the first-team quarterback by a wide margin with 44 of 50 first-team selections. Dallas’ Tony Romo was second with three, followed by New England’s Tom Brady (two) and Indianapolis’ Andrew Luck (one).

Kuhn, who is a total surprise to us, got 18 votes at fullback. We didn’t think he deserved to make the Pro Bowl squad, much less be a first-team All Pro. However, there aren’t many fullbacks left in today’s NFL to choose from.

That had to be part of the reason Kuhn received the honor.

Sitton, meanwhile, was beat out for the first team by Baltimore’s Marshal Yanda and Dallas’ Zach Martin. He finished two votes behind Martin for the second spot.

Nelson was beat out for the first team by Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown and Dallas’ Dez Bryant.

Three other Packers received votes — linebacker Clay Matthews (6), center Corey Linsley (1) and tackle Bryan Bulaga (1).

Kuhn is the man…in a league that has all but replaced FBs…he stands out…knows more about our team than mike does…and comes through almost every time asked…whether in blocking to short yardage gains…he is a beast that I hope we keep around!

Dez Bryant over Jordy is bullshit, Skip Bayless better not get a fucking vote for the All-Pro team.

Kuhn seems to be getting better with age.

John Kuhn threw the block on Peppers in week 17 last year so rodgers could throw the touchdown that won the division, and for that I will always love him.
