Let’s All Remember this Important Brett Favre Moment

Brett Favre

It’s NFC Championship game weekend. Brett Favre played in a few NFC Championship games in his time.

This was the last one. It was glorious.

Perhaps not quite as glorious as Minnesota Vikings fans’ reactions though, which this very video highlights.

Thanks to Deadspin for digging this out of the ether.

The moment that ball was intercepted, the planets aligned and all was right in the world. What a game that was though. One of the most courageous performances by any player ever, ending exactly how it should have. Perfect.

Why is anyone talking about Brett Favre right now? Seriously, who gives a FUCK about this play or the vikings….

I have literally watched this video at least a 100 times already. Looking forward to the next 100.

I am not joking or exaggerating when I say this: I was happier when this happened than when the Packers won the Super Bowl. If Favre won the big one with this team, I would have never gotten over it.

It was like the ring being dropped into lava and Mordor crumbling when this happened.

Another great moment in Vikings history.

Someone really needs to put together a compilation of great moments in Vikings history. They could have all of the great moments from Joe Kapp’s interceptions against KC in Super Bowl IV to Morten Anderson’s missed kick in the NFC championship game, to Culpepper and Moss standing on the sidelines during the playoff loss to the Giants, to Favre’s interception. They could have it narrated and set to music, and show all the epic moments of heroic choking. A Vikings lowlight extravaganza. I’d pay good money to have a copy.

I just realized that might make him the greatest Packer ever in some ass backward way.

talk about chokes, SOME GUY? perhaps Packer Nation should stop recalling Favre’s worst moments and remember this evening’s game performance, eh?

Really, if it makes you feel better looking at the past and not seeing your own faults as as team so be it. Green Bay has to be looking at getting better in their coaching, and play calling, less time fans looking at old footage of a player that they themselves revered and idolized.
