You know, I don’t really get the hubbub about R-E-L-A-X.
Aaron Rodgers said it on his radio show back when the Packers were 1-2. It sounded like something his PR team wrote up for him and he practiced in the mirror before saying it on air.
Yet somehow, this has become a big deal.
People have plastered it to Lambeau Field, there are t-shirts that say it and here’s a clown with it on the back of a jersey. Because if you’re going to spend a bunch of money having a jersey customized, choose something timeless like R-E-L-A-X for the name on the back.
The relevance will never fade!
Seriously, what’s the deal?
Was the reciting of these five letters in some way funny?
No.
Was it amazing in some way? Like, wow, that was akin to “I have a dream!”
Hardly.
Will you remember where you were when this phrase was uttered like you remember where you were when the Towers came down?
I sure as hell won’t.
So, please. Someone explain to me what the fuck the big deal is about R-E-L-A-X.
