Brett Favre is in Green Bay

The Brett Favre Beard

You’re excited, aren’t you? The old slinger of guns, Brett Favre, is in the town where he once led the Packers and also stabbed the same Packers and their fans in the back, today.

It’s not what you think though. Lord Favre will not be appearing at tonight’s game between the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons. He’s too chickenshit to do that.

Favre is in Green Bay for a Rawhide Boys Ranch event to honor former Packers quarterback Bart Starr, according to Chris Mortensen.

Starr, who has long been a supporter and spokesperson for Rawhide, is recovering from a stroke.

If you’re not from Wisconsin or haven’t seen the commercials, Rawhide is an organization that helps troubled boys. It is not connected with the Packers.

So no, Favre will not be trotting out onto Lambeau Field tonight.

But he’s in Green Bay! Why wouldn’t he show up at Lambeau?!

Because he’s afraid of getting booed. If he does go to the game, it will be incognito.

As of now, no plans for Favre to attend game tonight, source says. If he does go, he most likely would do it so he wasn't seen. #packers

I feel like writing this all in German just to accentuate how much I oppose this, with every fibre of my being.
This is disgusting, and you can all bet your bottom dollar that he is very likely feigning hesitance, just to hear those so eager to forgive beg him to come back. And if people beg enough, pander enough, in lockstep unanimity, he will grace us with his presence.
All of this just further proves everything I have maintained about him all along, about his egoism, that he does not care about Packers fans, so on and so forth.
For the love of Christ, our Packers are in a bid to go to and win another Super Bowl. With the Seahawks resurging, we have to win out to avoid any chance of playing in Seattle. Instead we are talking about this asshole, piece of shit TRAITOR. I hate him all the more. To hell with him.

He flew up there in his private jet, paid for in part by the hard-earned money of Packer, Vikings and Jets fans everywhere. Gotta love that. With any luck at all we’ll get some shots on ESPN of him sitting in the Owners box.

Rant up, let that rage and hatred flow. With any luck at all that aneurism will go POP!

Move on Wolf- he is a huge huge part of Packer history. Let it go. He gave us all amazing memories & games. A great SB win. Records that will stand forever. So he went to other teams after the Packers told him to leave. Its the vikings & jets- who cares. Game tonight and you crying about Favre going to support a foundation. Give me a break.

    • Avatar for E. Wolf E. Wolf says:

Not just other teams. The Vikings–THE VIKINGS. One technical penalty and that interception are all that saved me. We were all on the razor’s edge, staring down the barrel of a gun.

Pack: Favre’s records will not stand forever. if you haven’t noticed. the new nfl game is dominated by aerial offence, of which favre was just one of the pioneers, and a johnny come lately at that…

Here’s how I see it. Bart Starr has way more invested in anything related to Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers than a notoriously annoying whiny cunt who does nothing but rant about how cold and scrapey the sand in her vag is and how crestfallen she is.

If he can overlook it, or get over it, why can’t she?

It’s definitely a lot easier to move on when your new squeeze is even better looking than the last, er metaphorically speaking that is. Boy we sure as lucky, damn shame most fans don’t/can’t/won’t realize that, I pity those foos.

I’d take my son to games with Favre and say ” son remember this because you may never see a quarterback as good on the Pack” . I am so thankful I was wrong. We’re loking at more then 2 decades of suburb QB play. Truly blessed.

Also, I was born and raised in Chicago ( but I’ve been a PAcker fan since 1966 when I first became interested in football). We went to the Jets game this year and my kids hugged me and said ” thanks dad for not raising us as Bear fans”. LOL.

Brett will be going to the game. To hold a charity event at Bretts Steakhouse, the same day the Packers play at Lambeau on MNF with the National media there, i highly doubt is just a coincidence.

You mean trying to maximize publicity and exposure for a charity event is a bad thing? Remind me not to hire you as a consultant.

This spleen for Favre always amazes me. It is beyond me why there are still whiny fans looking for reasons to lambast one of the greatest Packers ever.

Update: Brett decided to fly back home.

Update: Brett’s 2nd guessing going home, thinking he might wanna stay for the game, so they are in a stall position circling Straubel Field, to give Brett some time in case he changes his mind.

LOL. hope he falls out of the sky like his indecisive long bomb in OT vs. Philly that ended our playoff bid in Sherman’s 2nd to last season.

If he’s in town why can”t he walk three blocks over to Lambeau Field to watch the game for a few hours? I have no immense hatred for Favre but that sounds like some bullshit if he claims everything is all good.

Brett Favre doesn’t walk 3 blocks to Lambeau…. Lambeau moves 3 blocks to where Favre is.
