The Green Bay Packers held their Wednesday practice on Thursday this week and defensive linemen Mike Daniels and Josh Boyd were the surprise DNPs.
The week’s schedule was pushed back a day because the Packers play Monday night, giving them an extra day of preparation. Or non-preparation, as it were.
At any rate, you would be correct if you just thought to yourself — but I didn’t notice Daniels or Boyd get injured last Sunday. Apparently, they’re both just sore from running into other wide bodies all season long.
There appears to be little to no chance either guy would miss Monday’s game and both should be back at practice this week.
Josh Boyd (knee) said he's hoping to be back at practice Friday. Like Mike Daniels, was experiencing some soreness #Packers

So there’s the good news amidst the bad news. Now, here’s the bad news amidst the bad news.
Cornerback Sam Shields also sat out of Thursday’s practice. He did get injured last Sunday, suffering a concussion, which means he’s in the process of going through the NFL’s now you can’t sue us after you retire protocol.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy seemed to have no idea whether Shields would be able to play this week.
If he can’t go, then Davon House, who stepped in for Shields against New England, would likely get the nod.
