There was that point early in the Green Bay Packers’ demolition of Carolina where we cringed after watching/hearing one of the sideline sound guys get trucked.
There dude is just minding his business, holding his big sound-sucking mic, watching Aaron Rodgers scramble by and bam! A little Luke Kuechly right to the nuts!
Or something like that…
Actually, sound dude might have been a chick, in which case we doubt she had any nuts.
At any rate, let’s watch it on a loop!
It was a chick, they even announced her name on air. Didn’t you watch the game?
That was my impression as well–and she was rather comely as well.
Do not know about Monte but I watch a lot of games without the sound. I would be sure some like listening to the announcers. For me I do not listen to all the bullshit propaganda from the likes of Aikman, Gruden, and Simms.
One second a team is the greatest on earth next second they are a bunch of bums. One play, series, or game a player is a hero. The next he is a zero. Blot out the noise and you see the game a whole lot better.
You won’t complain about Aikman or Simms after having listened to Sam Rosen two weeks in a row. Just awful.
good point E.
I thought if was just me…
He is terrible, Lynch is bearable….
Sunday night should be better w the A team
Aikman and Buck and Collingsworth Michaels are certainly not perfect, but they are probably better than the rest, with exception of perhaps Brian Billick, who I find very insightful.
If I had my druthers, announcing would be reduced to:
–down and distance with result of the play
–any injury that results
–any penalty called
The rest would just be the sound of the game.
Exactly! Do I really need play by play on fuckin tv? And a bunch of commercials I’ve seen 100 times? Just wish the radio wasn’t a play ahead of direct tv or I’d listen to wayne and larry.
Fox left the game in 3rd quarter to show another game that was competitivek Why did they decide to do that?
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I watch with the sound/commentators because it sets more of an ambiance.
I have never been the the hallowed grounds of Lambeau (yet) so it just makes it more real to me.
