We’re not ready to assume right tackle Bryan Bulaga will play this week, but he took a step in that direction on Wednesday.
Bulaga practiced, although he looked pretty gimpy doing so. It should also be noted that the Green Bay Packers only practiced in shells and not full pads.
What this really comes down to is Thursday’s practice, which will be a padded practice. If Bulaga’s injured left knee holds up through that, then it sounds like he’ll play on Sunday.
McCarthy: Bulaga went through individual drills and status will depend on how he looks in padded work Thursday.

Frankly, we have our doubts, which means Derek Sherrod would start. Players typically miss a couple weeks with sprained MCLs, which is what Bulaga is dealing with.
Of course, he says he wants to go, but if he’s still hobbling around on Wednesday then the best long-term plan is probably to sit Bulaga for at least a week.
I think we can all agree that the prospect of starting Sherrod for the bulk of the season anywhere on the line is an undesirable one.
In other injury news, running back Eddie Lacy did not practice today. He’s going through the concussion protocol, but appears to be on schedule to play this week. He’s already passed the first phase.
Tight end Brandon Bostick, who’s been out since the preseason, returned to practice on Wednesday. Meanwhile, everyone’s favorite whipping boy, inside linebacker Brad Jones, sat out with a quad injury. The “injury” has bothered him before, but maybe we’ll be lucky enough that the Packers will use it as an excuse to take him out of the starting lineup for good.
Who are we kidding? There’s no way he plays. Our medical staff is too conservative.
I’d rather he sit 1 week. That’d give him 17 days as opposed to 10.
Hawk is still healthy so thats not ideal but i’ll yake a win woth jones out
Buluga wont play and he doesnt need to.
Lacy should sit too. I want that man healthy for the long haul this year.
Bulaga is made of glass so dont expect too much for long term
