HAMSTRING INJURY! KAPOW!
That’s right. If you had Jordy Nelson in the Green Bay Packers hamstring injury pool then today, you are the big winner!
And what a giant letdown for everyone who picked Clay Matthews. He should have already suffered his annual hamstring injury by this point, right?
Right.
Coach Mike McCarthy revealed that Nelson didn’t practice on Monday because he’s dealing with everyone’s favorite injury — a hamstring. Jordy was also held out of Saturday night’s game in Tennessee along with Aaron Rodgers and Eddie Lacy. We thought that was simply because Jordy is awesome and clearly everyone who’s awesome wasn’t playing on Saturday.
Now, we’re going to have to assume it was because of this phantom hamstring injury.
At any rate, the good news is the injury isn’t serious. Nelson is said to be day-to-day, so he’ll likely be back at practice this week.
Although McCarthy didn’t say when the injury occurred, it would of had to be during practice on Friday or during warmups on Saturday. Nelson practiced all last week.
