[tps_title]Josh Boyd[/tps_title]
All three starters on the defensive line and backup C.J. Wilson enter the offseason as unrestricted free agents. B.J. Raji and Wilson are good bets not to return. Ryan Pickett will probably only return if he takes something near the veteran minimum. The Packers should re-sign Johnny Jolly, but who knows? It’s safe to say if Josh Boyd doesn’t end up as one of the starters on the D line, he’s going to get plenty of playing time in 2014 and there’s no reason he shouldn’t. Boyd, a fifth-round pick in 2013, came on down the stretch of the season. In the last two games, he played more snaps than first-round pick Datone Jones. Boyd still needs to improve, but he could be one of those players who makes the much-ballyhooed second-year jump. If he does, that will put him in the conversation for a starting spot.
