[tps_title]Biggest Surprise[/tps_title]
Again, the argument could be made for a number of guys here. Boykin was a surprise to many, but not to us. Hyde was probably a surprise to quite a few people as well, but after seeing him in the preseason, we knew he was legit. First-round pick Datone Jones was surprising for his lack of production. So was safety Morgan Burnett for his sub-par play. Our pick is the old man, cornerback Tramon Williams. Tramon had a career year in 2010 and then followed that up with two terrible seasons. All of that led us to believe Tramon was done. In fact, we questioned whether the Packers should have released him and his bloated salary prior to this season. It’s a good thing they didn’t. Although he started slow, Tramon played balls out down the stretch. At times, he was the best defender on the field. At other times, he was the only guy who could make a sure tackle. As Larry McCarren once said about Donald Driver — the old man’s still got it!
