The Green Bay Packers 2013 season is in the books. It was a fairly disappointing 8-7-1 campaign marred by injuries. None was bigger than the broken collarbone suffered by Aaron Rodgers. The season did however, result in the Packers’ third division title in a row, so there’s that.
Now that it’s done, it’s time to hand out awards and pick the best and worst from the 2013 season. And what more prestigious organization than this one to make those choices?
None!
Bang the arrows for MVP, least valuable player and more.

SPOT ON in all categories… Now let’s hope TT does something out of the ordinary in the off-season. (ordinary = nothing)
If you think about it, we could grab a D-Cordinator that runs a 4-3 …
lol he called Andy mulumba a child soldier hahaha
that was fun! I do have one thing to add, though. If Raji was just doing what a 3-4 lineman is supposed to do, and that is to eat up blockers, Hawk and Jones/Lattimore would not have constantly been up against the 300 pounders playing the run. Our ILBs seemed to be plastered by OL constantly. Gonna lose that one every time at 250 lbs.
The problem Fatso had is that when the coaches told him it was his job to eat up blockers, he asked ’em, “raw”? Then he raised another question, “How’m I supposed to do that with this facemask on?” And finally, “I thought you wanted me to lose weight?”
^this
kudos Savage, kudos! love the humor!
I think Raji wants out and was playing to not get hurt. He is pouting because he is out of position. Greg Jennings without the mouthy entitled sister.
Fuckin A. I hope he winds up in some fucking NFL gulag like Buffalo for $10MM a year and is found guilty of cannibalism in training camp.
This 3-4 defense will never work with this personnel. Year after year we just get crushed by RBs & over powering Olines. And our linebackers are completely lost.
I do like our offense but MM needs to let go of the reins and step on the throttle. Give teams their 20 pts who gives a crap with the Packs offense they should easily be putting up 30 or more pts every week.
Opinion: our personnel would work with a 4-3
Fact: The GB Packers did NOT get an interception from the safety position in the 2013 season. (wow)
Where would Clay Matthews, the best defensive player on this defense, play? A 250lb defensive end? I dont think so.
Sam backer, shit, even safety-he’d be better than what we have at the moment.
Kato, Clay Matthews lines-up in a 4-3 style DE position EVERY PLAY already anyways.
I’m not saying that’s what I want to do (4-3), I’m just saying we easily could.
“Child soldier Andy Mulumba”
Hahahaha
Thats both terrible and hilarious
Can’t argue with Tramon as most improved, but must give kudos to Crosby for coming back big. I’d have given him a Change of Address card after last year, and even though there were a paucity of game winning kick opportunities, he made the ones they asked him to.
15-2, 12-6, 8-8-1: see a trend?
Status quo is not getting it done; Pack is regressing, and it starts with the lack of defensive talent. Organization needs to look at TT, current personnel minions, and scouts because the player acquisition process is coming up short. Free agent market would be appealing to play, but cap restrictions preclude much meaningful activity. I think the focus needs to be on talent evaluation, whether players are selected for the desired scheme, and if the teaching/coaching/training-conditioning efforts are effective. Something has to change for there to be improvement.
I do see a trend-people seem to be conveniently forgetting that the game’s best player missed half the season (discounting the handful of other impact players who sat out for weeks); I wouldn’t consider it a stretch to posit that the Pack would have been at least .500 in those 8 if he had played.
Really enjoyed the post, but I would give John Kuhn unsung hero. he’s always there, throwing blocks, punching through for short yardage, even catching a dump pass or two in a pinch. Of course, he’s not really unsung considering even in Shitcago, the crowd could be heard yelling….Kuuuuhhhhnnnnn!!!
I don’t get why some Packers fans are so down on A.J. Hawk. He’s been pretty consistent and he was the Packers leading tackler this year with 118 tackles. Just because he isn’t talked about much doesn’t mean he isn’t good. I’d say his is definitely an unsung hero.
