The Green Bay Packers are reportedly pessimistic about quarterback Aaron Rodgers playing this week, according to Ed Werder.
Packers pessimistic about Aaron Rodgers being cleared for Dallas. Scheduled for practice today but source says playing inside 8 weeks risky

Rodgers said yesterday that he felt some pain after practicing last week. He only worked in individual drills during the week.
The Packers have scheduled Rodgers for another round of tests with the team doctor today.
Frankly, at this point, we’re not expecting Rodgers to play against Dallas on Sunday either. If that plays out, we’ll get another week of Matt Flynn.
Whoever plays, they’ll be facing the worst pass defense in the NFL. That’s the good news.
The bad news is, if the Packers don’t win, they’re probably out of the playoff race. The team is a half game back of Detroit and Chicago for the division lead.
Detroit has Baltimore at home this week and Chicago is at Cleveland.
Here’s how i see this going down.
If Flynn plays, and they beat Dallas, no one will say much about it.
If they lose with Flynn. Packer internet forums and blogs will be overcome with venom from the Packer faithful.
Now, i may be wrong, (as i was wrong once back in 2006) but my guess is, if we lose the game, the cause will be more on the defense, than Matt Flynn.
I agree, and in my opinion, Flynn would play great against any team if he would just get some protection up front.
The remainder of this season will depend on the O-Line and the Defensive Backs to step up and start doing what they’re paid to do.
I agree, the defense needs to step it up and be more agressive. This is a very winnable game.
I would certainly agree that if the O line can protect Flynn, he should be able to have a good game. Barclay got smoked a few times vs ATL, and so did Lang.
