[tps_title]Jerron McMillian and M.D. Jennings[/tps_title]
There were plenty of people yelling for a safety in the first round, including us.
The Packers have been missing something at the back end of their defense since they lost Nick Collins. Well, they’re still going to be lacking something at the back end of their defense. That is, unless Jerron McMillian or M.D. Jennings steps forward and turns into a playmaker.
Obviously, they’re going to be given every chance to do so.
The potential wild card here is fifth-round pick Micah Hyde. He played both cornerback and safety in college, but it’s been suggested he might be a better safety at the NFL level due to some limitations in coverage. Still, it’s tough to see him beating out McMillian or Jennings this season.
