We can’t really call what Buffalo Bills tight end Lee Smith did here a Lambeau Leap because 1. it happened in Buffalo and, 2. it was a complete and total failure.
Smith did nonetheless try to copy the Green Bay Packers traditional touchdown celebration by jumping into the stands after scoring on Sunday. As you’ll see, the morons he tried to jump into failed to catch him.
In fact, one of these clowns just keeps right on cheering while Smith is peeling himself off the ground. What are the odds another Bills player tries this?
If anyone is ever successful making this leap (and maybe if the Bills are actually ever relevant again), you know they’ll copy it from the Packers and then make up some idiotic name for it like the Ralph Wilson Romp and everyone in Buffalo will pretend it’s totally original and totally theirs.
So damn glad the Packers thought of it first! Bragging rights baby!
You know the old “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” line? Bullshit.
All the assholes around the league trying to do “stadium” leaps, just knock it the fuck off. You’re only embarrassing yourself and your team.
Oh and another thing – to all the Packer fans that sit in the first row of end zone seats at Lambeau. The next time some ass-pilot player from another team jumps into the stands in OUR house and sullies the sanctity of OUR Lambeau Leap, please make sure the motherfuckers never make it back onto the field, OK?
Jesus. we’re not Raider fans.
Let other teams do what they want, we’ve got the history. Shit the goddamn Superbowl Trophy is named after a Green Bay legend.
It will always be the Lambeau Leap, The Lombardi Trophy, and the everlasting season ticket waiting list.
It’s going epedemic latey. I hate to see the leap in other stadiums. Exept if done by a Packer ofcourse.
lately
The Bills started doing this last year (I think Nick Barnett may have introduced it.) They call it “The Buffalo Bounce.”
whatever they call it it apparently doesn’t work too well. It is a “fan participation” thing, but I guess the front row in Buffalo declined to go along. I’m sure that player was bummed……….
