Former Green Bay Packers running back Ryan Grant will get to continue his NFL career after all. After sitting around all summer without getting a serious contract offer, Grant signed with the Washington Redskins on Tuesday.
The Redskins are currently down two backs. Both Evan Royster and Roy Helu have injuries and the team just put Helu on injured reserve.
Grant, who had 559 yards rushing for the Packers last season, will likely see some action behind starter Alfred Morris.
The Packers made no effort to re-sign the 29-year-old when he became a free agent and eventually picked up Cedric Benson, who’s the same age.
Grant also had an offer from the Chicago Bears, but the Redskins ultimately made a better offer.

Good for him. If he gets 1 carry that will be more than Starks.
Good luck, Ryan. Nothing but love for you!
