Rodgers Wants To Be Packer For Life

Aaron Rodgers

Unlike a certain shitbag who will remain nameless, the Green Bay Packers current quarterback wants to remain with the Green Bay Packers “for life.”

Aaron Rodgers told the Press-Gazette’s Mike Vandermause as much when asked about his next contract during an extensive  interview.

“I want to be a Packer for life and I don’t see myself going anywhere else. I don’t think they would even get close to that,” Rodgers said.

We’re sure the Packers feel the same way and Rodgers’ contract will likely be one of the next extensions the team addresses. Rodgers’ deal runs through 2014, but he’s grossly underpaid for a top-flight NFL quarterback.

Rodgers will make $11.1 million this season, $12.4 million in 2013 and $13.6 million in 2014, including bonuses.

In comparison, Peyton Manning and his gigantic forehead are getting $18 million from Denver this season. That increases to $20 million in 2013-14 and then goes down to $19 million for 2015-16. Eli Manning will have a cap number of $9.6 million this season, before coming in around $20 million for the final three years of his deal.

In all, eight quarterbacks will have higher base salaries than Rodgers this season, including the Rams Sam Bradford, Mr. Personality Matt Ryan and The Doughboy, Matthew Stafford.

Are any of those three guys even in the same county as Rodgers? Shit no.

The Packers are going to have to pay Rodgers sometime soon. The good news is he’s obviously about more than just the money.

You my friend are hilarious. And #12 rules. I think they’ll learn from the #4 divorce, plus Rodgers is just plain better at protecting the ball. I love that guy, man!

    County? Country!

Yah unlike shitbag I doubt rodgers will require annual french asskissing and ego stroking in later parts of his ‘life contract’ to ensure he shows the fuck up without the drama.

Of course in retrospect when the dick texter never showed up for OTA or anything else not 100% mandatory it gave rodgers more reps, then again we didn’t win anymore superbowls either.

But seriously, this is good news. Unlike news of a certain unsigned QB in the NFC.

They gave Favre the exact same “lifetime” contract in 1999. It doesn’t mean shit. They can trade Rodgers or release him as soon as he breaks his vagina in a couple years. The Favre hatred among these morbidly obese fans amusingly reveals just how stupid being a sports fan is. I guess you could call it self inflicted ignorance. It’s a hoot.

I imagine Brees said the same things a couple years ago.

    It is simple PR.

We will see how much he wants to be a Packer for life when his contract comes up.

Hopefully we can avoid the embarrassment that the Saints are going through after being unable to come to terms with their greedy QB.

“Peyton Manning and his gigantic forehead”- hilarious

I bet the St. Louis Lambs would like some of that Bradford money back….

If Rodgers keeps playing like he has the last 2 seasons, he’s worth at least as much as the gigantic forehead.

C’mon, stop picking on my poor Mississippi Iron man. Lil Wayne seems to waver on the retirement issue and references ‘not gonna Favre ya’ll’ in this MTV article…And Lil Wayne sucks donkey balls.

Brent had alcohol, pain killer, and dick texting problems. Rodgers is a class act unlike Favre. Before Favre was a Viking the fans of Minneshithole cursed his name. They absolutely hated him. Now look at the bandwagon jumping losers.
