The Green Bay Packers reached deals with all of their draft picks prior to Friday’s start of rookie camp. The last to sign was first-round pick Nick Perry.
The defensive end, who’ll play outside linebacker with the Packers, signed a four-year deal worth $7.5 million. That includes a signing bonus of nearly $4 million.
The Packers also included a team-option fifth year. If the Packers keep Perry for the fifth year they’ll have to pay him the average of the third to 34th highest-paid players at his position during his fourth season.
Perry played at left outside linebacker during camp on Friday. That’s also the position Clay Matthews plays, meaning he could be moving to the right side.
Let the games begin
…and now; go kick Cutler’s, Stafford’s and Ponder’s asses!
Detroit’s own Nick Perry! Not happy to see he’s going to be going against my Lions twice a year but I’m happy he’s in a good place!
