Matt Flynn is no longer the Green Bay Packers backup quarterback. Flynn signed a three-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
The contract is worth $26 million, with $10 million guaranteed.
Seattle was Flynn’s first free agent visit. He met with Miami over the weekend and they were supposed to be the front runner to land his services. However, there were reports the team tried to low ball him.
In Seattle, Flynn will take over for Tarvaris Jackson, although coach Pete Carroll is pretending there will be an open competition.
“We are really excited to bring Matt in here to compete with Tarvaris,” Carroll said.
Compete with Tavaris Jackoff, Mr. Carroll? Laughable.
Should be a fun game now when the Packers travel to Seattle this season..I wish Flynn the best of luck, but hope he throws 4 picks that game haha
Yes, this means we will face Flynn this season. That should be an interesting game. With Lynch and a young, up-and-coming defense, Seattle could be pretty good next season. They and the 49ers could develop a pretty good rivalry for that division.
