Yeah, we’re pulling out the TMZ approach today to honor the finest journalists in America. So, with that mind, we give you this.
Green Bay Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk has cut off his long hair. It’s now — your guessed it — short! This wasn’t about style, at least entirely, either. Hawk did it for a good cause.
He partnered with Wigs For Kids, which provides wigs to kids with cancer. If we’re decoding Hawk’s tweets properly, he and his wife are also starting a similar organization, our guess is locally, called Hawk’s Locks For Kids.
Here’s what Hawk had to say via Twitter.
Today is a special day for me as I’ve decided to cut off my hair and give it to someone who needs it more than I do.
Thanks to wigs for kids for partnering with us,my wife and I are proud to start Hawk’s locks for Kids which will be helping kids with cancer
No child should have to feel ashamed of themselves due to a disease.
We are hoping to raise enough money and hair donations to change many lives!
Hair needs to be 12 inches for this organization. Anyone looking to help we will be having an event in June. More details as soon as we can.
Even though we’ve been hard on you for your terrible play on the field, we applaud your generosity A.J. Hawk. Well done.
Now, the question is, does Hawk look better with short hair or long? And maybe a better question is, will Clay Matthews be donating his hair?
What do you say Clay?
